It happens whenever wolf shifter Roni Axton is near Marcus Fuller: a crackle of sexual awareness that’s intoxicating…and deeply annoying. Marcus is a pack enforcer who oozes power, but Roni is lethal in her own right—nothing like the flirty females who flock around him. Even still, his possessive gaze makes one thing clear. Marcus has singled her out for seduction, and he wants to make her sit up and beg.

No matter how aloof and unfazed Roni acts, Marcus can tell she wants him. When a brutal attack by a jackal pack forces them to work together, it’s the perfect opportunity for Marcus to chip away at her defenses—until he falls into his own trap, completely unprepared for the intensity of their connection. Roni is the only one who’s ever seen past his shifter charm and discovered the man hiding beneath it. And for Marcus, claiming Roni once will mean needing her forever.

Hmm… Maybe I’m the minor for Dark Instincts. I liked Phoenix Pack very much. But now my attention has divided into Nick’s pack along with the new members including her sister, Roni.

Roni Axton has problems with herself. She rarely shifted into human form because her horrible past. When Marcus Fuller come and draws her attention, she couldn’t ignore it. She tried but slowly drawn into him. Marcus has problem with himself. Because some prophecy about his future mate, he slept around and withdrawn from any female except Roni. I really liked Roni as much as Taryn. She’s an awesome heroine and kick-ass. She loves prank with her brother and that’s make me laugh uncontrollably. Also, she’s like Dominic who always make cheesy lines.

“Marcus Fuller exuded sex, confidence, and a raw compelling charisma that commanded the attention of those around him . . . which was why the Phoenix Pack enforcer was the star of her every X-rated fantasy. He deserved an Oscar for his performances.”

Roni’s tomboy side always get criticized by her mother but Marcus always defend her. They have chemistry and interaction. It’s good but not great. Marcus get all dominant and determined with Roni, she doesn’t give up easily. She drove Marcus crazy especially when she stole his food. Uh huh… no one touch Marcus’ territory about food. He’s a glutton man. Their sex isn’t wow as the previous books (except Nick’s). It’s just spicy. Marcus’ full attention and affection towards her made me melt into puddle. Don’t forget the sarcasms and snarky comments from Roni. She’s just wow because she could ‘tame’ Greta; the insulting grandma. After all, Dark Instincts is better than Carnal Secrets. It was an enjoyable read. I wonder who’s in the next book. Please be Dominic…LMAO
