“Knock knock!”
“Um… Who’s there?”

Yeah. That was me, on my last date. Before you feel sorry for me
you should know that I was the one telling the jokes. Jokes as in
plural, because I didn’t stop with just one. Of course not.

Hi, I’m Chloe Scott. The most awkward single girl in the city.
But I’m going to get it together. I am.

I’m going to learn how to date like a grown up.
I’m going to have an orgasm not given to myself.
I’m going to fall in love and live happily ever after.

Right after I get out of this interrogation room.

Jana Aston said this is the last book from WRONG series. I’m quite sad because it’s starting to get better. Everly’s friend, Chloe is the last person on this train who will meet her future someone. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it very much.

Chloe Scott must the most socially awkward person in the Philadelphia. She has numerous unsuccessful date journey. As a teacher for second grade, Chloe didn’t socialize much. Beside Everly, Sandra and Sophie are her friends. Misfortune from the last date, bring Chloe to the FBI agent, Boyd Gallagher whose apparently Sophie’s half-brother. From asking a favor to become his fake date? Why not, Chloe. This could be her dating lesson and she’s eager to learn from Boyd.

I think I’m 99% like Chloe. Awkward, but not adorkable. She is. When her anxiety came, she couldn’t stop talking, especially with her dry jokes. Ha ha ha… I also liked how pervert she is. I mean, she isn’t prude and open-minded with sexuality. Chloe is just a ordinary woman with cop fetish. She really loves crime TV series. And when she found Boyd, oh boy…

“We’re not doing anal,” I inform him. “Not with this,” I add,…
“Wait, was anal on the table?”
“I’m really curious about it,” I admit, “but not with that thing.” I nod at his monster dick.

Is Boyd too-good-to-be-true? Mostly yes. He seems suspicious at first when asked Sophie as his fake date. He’s a stranger to me even he’s close Sophie, I didn’t know much about him. But when Chloe is starting to ask about him, Boyd didn’t hesitant to answer. He’s very open person also cool as a cucumber. Maybe because he’s FBI agent? Even Boyd came from rich family, he isn’t a show-off. He works outside the family because he enjoy it. Another plus for him. There is no dirty laundry about him.

I enjoyed their chemistry. Honestly, I’m envy them. Maybe Boyd is the only chance for Chloe to get a boyfriend. Their togetherness was delightful. I loved his sudden possessiveness; not as a control freak. It seems Chloe and Boyd is the least aggressive couple. When it came to sex, they’re really HOT. Complementing each other without over-the-top. They’re also like to do ‘sexy experiment’.

What am I doing when you’re thinking about me?”
“Anything. Everything. Sometimes you’re on your knees sucking me off. Sometimes you’re taking a shower while I watch.” Her chest rises. She likes that. “Sometimes I’m pulling your hair”—her eyes widen at that—“and sometimes you’re lying on my bed, asking me to come on your tits.”
“Would you do that?”…
“Do what?”
“Come on me.”
“Is that an invitation?”
“Yes.” She nods. “I want you to. I want to watch.”

The story was told from 2 POVs. I really adored both Chloe and Boyd. There is no drama. Just… let it flow. There is no pressure in their relationship. They’re very cool person. I know the sex came late, but I’m satisfied with the result. They’re need to develop feelings; not insta-everything. To make sure they’re really into each other. Overall, it was a great read and enjoyable until the end.

“Knock, knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“I love.”
“I love who?”
“I love you too.”
“It was pretty bad though.” His grip on me loosens. “Hold on while I text that to myself so I can remember it forever.”

Book Review: Breathless Trilogy by Maya Banks

*** WARNING! This book is for ADULTS only or may be unsuitable for people under 21 years of age due to sexual content, graphic violence, and/or mature themes. Reader discretion is highly advised. If you are easily offended, then this book is not for you and please do not continue. ***

The series follows three billionaires—Gabe Hamilton, Jace Crestwell and Ash McIntyre—who are best friends and business partners. The men dominate both in the boardroom and in the bedroom. Each novel in the trilogy will explore the relationship of one of the men as he discovers the woman he will love.

Gabe, Jace, and Ash: three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. They’re accustomed to getting anything they want. Anything at all. For Gabe, it’s making one particular fantasy come true with a woman who was forbidden fruit. Now she’s ripe for the picking…

When Gabe Hamilton saw Mia Crestwell walk into the ballroom for his hotel’s grand opening, he knew he was going to hell for what he had planned. After all, Mia is his best friend’s little sister. Except she’s not so little anymore. And Gabe has waited a long time to act on his desires.

Gabe has starred in Mia’s fantasies more than once, ever since she was a teenager with a huge crush on her brother’s best friend. So what if Gabe’s fourteen years older? Mia knows he’s way out of her league, but her attraction has only grown stronger with time. She’s an adult now, and there’s no reason not to act on her most secret desires.

As Gabe pulls her into his provocative world, she realizes there’s a lot she doesn’t know about him or how exacting his demands can be. Their relationship is intense and obsessive, but as they cross the line from secret sexual odyssey to something deeper, their affair runs the risk of being exposed—and vulnerable to a betrayal far more intimate than either expected.

+ Great plot and fast paced.
+ Cheap thrills.

– Mainstream hero.
– Too obedient submissive wannabe
– Failed to represent BDSM.

Overall: Maya Bank is still one of my recommendation for sexy erotica books. I’d love to recommend this for sexy billionaire fans but don’t expect much. 🙂

Jace isn’t sharing Bethany—with anyone. He’s determined to be the only man in her life, and it’s jeopardizing a lifelong friendship with Ash. Bethany will be his and his alone. Even if it means turning his back on his best friend.

+ ???

– NO TRUST (Emotionally abusive)
– Insta-love/lust
– Over posssive with jealousy
– Super stalker
– BETHANY FRUSTRATED ME in so many ways. Independent isn’t same with stupidity, woman!
– Slow dragging ass pace. It keeps moving in circles.

Overall: Such a disappointment. This book has power over me for my gloomy mood -_- so much negativity! 2 stars because I BARELY MADE IT ALIVE!

Ash, Jace, and Gabe: three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. They’re accustomed to getting anything they want. Anything at all. For Ash, it’s the woman who changes everything he’s ever known about dominance and desire…

When it comes to sex, Ash McIntyre has always explored his wilder side — extreme and uncompromising. He demands control. And he prefers women who want it like that. Even the women he’s shared with his best friend, Jace.

But Jace is involved with a woman he has no intention of sharing. And now even Gabe has settled into a relationship with a woman who gives him everything he needs, leaving Ash feeling restless and unfulfilled.

Then Ash meets Josie, who seems immune to his charms and his wealth. Intrigued, he begins a relentless pursuit, determined she won’t be the one who got away. He never imagined the one woman to tell him no would be the only woman who’d ever drive him to the edge of desire.

– Steamy.
– A little suspense in the final.
– Better than Gabe and Jase.
– Finally, it’s done!

– Almost the same like Jase. Too Cinderella syndrome.
– Insta lust and love.
– Another failed BDSM.
– Too stalker-ish.
– Pussy-whipped hero :p

Overall: This is the last book from Breathless Trilogy. It didn’t leave me breathless but brainless. It was so dumb and empty. Finished with disappointment and surprised that I finished all the books. Once again, an okay read for Cinderella syndrome romance with steamy sex by powerful and not-really-dominant man.

Fling: a novella by Jana Aston

Series: Standalone

Fling is a STANDALONE novella – about 80 pages

I have a crush on my boss’ best friend.
At least it’s not my brother’s best friend.
Or my best friend’s brother.
Or… never mind. It’s all pretty cliche.

And worse? My boss’ best friend is his business partner.
Which sort of makes him my boss too.
Okay – it’s not sort of. It’s definite. Gabe Laurent is off limits. Totally off limits.

Which is fine. I make do with my imagination. He’ll never know. Ever.
Unless my work bestie passes me an eighties-style teen movie sex quiz
during a meeting and I fill it out.

And it ends up in Gabe’s hands…

Oh my oh my oh my… Gabe! Wait… do you still remember Sawyer Camden, the rich stalker businessman from Wrong who is in love with a college student, Everly? Yes, this is a story about his executive assistant, Sandra. As much as I hate her boss’, Sandra’s story is sooo much better.

Sandra Adams works her ass off and stay professional even she has secret crush with with her boss’ best friend-slash-business partner, Gabe Laurent. He’s such a wet dream for Sandra and impossible to reach. Unexpectedly, Gabe feel the same towards Sandra. He always watch her from afar but still questioning for go for it or not. But when the chance came and Gabe took it.

As a executive assistant for CEO, Sandra always do her job flawlessly to please her boss. She’s my kind of a girl. Ordinary, hardworking, independent and doesn’t really care about boys except for Gabe. The truth, Sandra is quite submissive around him. I noticed she’s often blushing and blabbering which is cute. I feel you, woman. It’s normal when you have crush with someone.

Fuck me, this girl. She evokes something in me. I want to take this weight of shyness off her shoulders. I want to strip her bare, run my hands over every inch of her until she abandons the blushing and begs me for more. I want to touch her everywhere, find out what makes her back arch and her toes curl, to see what she looks like when she comes. For me.

Nothing special on Gabe. On his thirty-five, he acts like he should. He didn’t really romanticize. He’s also great in bed. Finally, when they’re on casual fling, he feels something. But he knows Sandra is kind of woman who wants real relationship. A little miscommunication happened but they’re quickly repair it. *cough* Still, my favorite scene is in the office. *cough*

I have some minor complaints, though. I wish this could be longer than a novella. Their relationship has potential to be more. Yeah, the title is FLING, maybe that’s why. I wish Sandra could be more firm around Gabe. She always said ‘Yes’ to everything. I just wanna Gabe has more struggle to get her; not only by jealousy. Gabe even didn’t sweat a bit to have her. Hmph. As you know how much I hate OTT drama, this has none. They didn’t over-exaggerating everything and I liked it. Short and sweet office romance with naughty spices.

“Women are complex creatures, Gabe. They think it means something when a man takes his sweet-ass time asking her on a date. They think it means you’re just interested in the sex.”

Excerpt from FLING by Jana Aston

“What do you think of Sandra?” I ask Sawyer as I snag a signed baseball from a display case along the far wall of his office. I settle into one of the guest chairs across his desk and toss the ball over my head before catching it again.

He’s reviewing something on his monitor and he pauses at my question and turns his attention to me. “You know she’s the best executive assistant I’ve ever had. Do you need her help with something? I thought you were happy with Preston?”

Somehow human resources only assigns me gay men or women old enough to have birthed me. I suspect that’s on direct orders from Sawyer. Dick.

I give the ball another toss and catch. “No, I meant, what do you think of Sandra as a woman?”

“I don’t,” Sawyer says, narrowing his eyes at me.

“She’s got a thing for me,” I say.

“She doesn’t,” Sawyer says dismissively and taps the mouse on his desk, intent on ignoring me.

“She does,” I insist. “She’s always looking at me.”

“Maybe she thinks you’re an idiot.”

That’s a distinct possibility. I’ve never been quite sure. Most of the time she ducks her head and calls me Mr. Laurent as she scurries past. It fucking turns me on, but I’m not sure if it turns her on or if she honestly just thinks I’m an asshole.

“I think she’s dating someone in marketing,” Sawyer adds while tapping on his keyboard, engrossed with whatever’s on the screen in front of him.

“They broke up over the summer,” I say confidently, leaning back in the chair and tossing the ball a little further in the air.

“How do you know that?” Sawyer stops typing and crosses his arms across his chest. He doesn’t look pleased with my knowledge of Sandra’s dating life; I think he views her like the little sister he never had. “What could you possibly want to do with Sandra anyway?”

I catch the ball as my brows raise in disbelief. “You need me to spell it out for you, buddy?” I lean forward in the chair and adopt a serious tone. “Sometimes, when two people are attracted to each other, they enjoy taking their clothing off together so they can—”

“Shut up,” Sawyer interrupts. “She’s not really your type.”

“Beautiful?” I question.

“Sweet,” he replies.

She is sweet, he’s right about that. I think about the paper burning a hole in my pocket and wonder again if it was hers. I’d like it to be hers. I think sweet Sandra has a hidden dirty side, and I’d really like to uncover it.

Jana Aston is the New York Times bestselling author of WRONG. She quit her super boring day job to whip up more books and is hoping that was not a stupid idea. In her defense, it was a really boring job.

1. She works with me every single day.
Did I mention she’s gorgeous, sweet, kind and smart?
2. She works in my home.
Playing with my five-year-old daughter. Teaching my little girl. Cooking for my princess. Which means…
3. She’s the nanny.
And that makes her completely off-limits…But it doesn’t stop me from wanting her. All of her.

The other nannies in this city don’t call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention, the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around.
