“Knock knock!”
“Um… Who’s there?”

Yeah. That was me, on my last date. Before you feel sorry for me
you should know that I was the one telling the jokes. Jokes as in
plural, because I didn’t stop with just one. Of course not.

Hi, I’m Chloe Scott. The most awkward single girl in the city.
But I’m going to get it together. I am.

I’m going to learn how to date like a grown up.
I’m going to have an orgasm not given to myself.
I’m going to fall in love and live happily ever after.

Right after I get out of this interrogation room.

Jana Aston said this is the last book from WRONG series. I’m quite sad because it’s starting to get better. Everly’s friend, Chloe is the last person on this train who will meet her future someone. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it very much.

Chloe Scott must the most socially awkward person in the Philadelphia. She has numerous unsuccessful date journey. As a teacher for second grade, Chloe didn’t socialize much. Beside Everly, Sandra and Sophie are her friends. Misfortune from the last date, bring Chloe to the FBI agent, Boyd Gallagher whose apparently Sophie’s half-brother. From asking a favor to become his fake date? Why not, Chloe. This could be her dating lesson and she’s eager to learn from Boyd.

I think I’m 99% like Chloe. Awkward, but not adorkable. She is. When her anxiety came, she couldn’t stop talking, especially with her dry jokes. Ha ha ha… I also liked how pervert she is. I mean, she isn’t prude and open-minded with sexuality. Chloe is just a ordinary woman with cop fetish. She really loves crime TV series. And when she found Boyd, oh boy…

“We’re not doing anal,” I inform him. “Not with this,” I add,…
“Wait, was anal on the table?”
“I’m really curious about it,” I admit, “but not with that thing.” I nod at his monster dick.

Is Boyd too-good-to-be-true? Mostly yes. He seems suspicious at first when asked Sophie as his fake date. He’s a stranger to me even he’s close Sophie, I didn’t know much about him. But when Chloe is starting to ask about him, Boyd didn’t hesitant to answer. He’s very open person also cool as a cucumber. Maybe because he’s FBI agent? Even Boyd came from rich family, he isn’t a show-off. He works outside the family because he enjoy it. Another plus for him. There is no dirty laundry about him.

I enjoyed their chemistry. Honestly, I’m envy them. Maybe Boyd is the only chance for Chloe to get a boyfriend. Their togetherness was delightful. I loved his sudden possessiveness; not as a control freak. It seems Chloe and Boyd is the least aggressive couple. When it came to sex, they’re really HOT. Complementing each other without over-the-top. They’re also like to do ‘sexy experiment’.

What am I doing when you’re thinking about me?”
“Anything. Everything. Sometimes you’re on your knees sucking me off. Sometimes you’re taking a shower while I watch.” Her chest rises. She likes that. “Sometimes I’m pulling your hair”—her eyes widen at that—“and sometimes you’re lying on my bed, asking me to come on your tits.”
“Would you do that?”…
“Do what?”
“Come on me.”
“Is that an invitation?”
“Yes.” She nods. “I want you to. I want to watch.”

The story was told from 2 POVs. I really adored both Chloe and Boyd. There is no drama. Just… let it flow. There is no pressure in their relationship. They’re very cool person. I know the sex came late, but I’m satisfied with the result. They’re need to develop feelings; not insta-everything. To make sure they’re really into each other. Overall, it was a great read and enjoyable until the end.

“Knock, knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“I love.”
“I love who?”
“I love you too.”
“It was pretty bad though.” His grip on me loosens. “Hold on while I text that to myself so I can remember it forever.”

Book Review: A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

“Aku hanya ingin mati.”

Book Review: Felony Ever After by 13 Authors

Felony Ever After by Helena Huntings and others

Genres:  Anthologies, Contemporary Romance
Target Reader: New Adult

***A Domino Anthology: 13 Authors ONE story***

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.

Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

I never thought to read this. 13 authors wrote 1 story? Hmm… There were some of my fave authors so I decided to read because I need some LOL and curious. The title and blurb sounds promising enough.

Verity Michaels works as receptionist at under her pervert boss, Larold S. Lay. But never once in her dream that she shared a cab with a tattooed dude. It was exciting also frightening at once. The weird shit happened so fast in one night and she keeps wondering about him. Who is he? It seems fate has decided to brought them together. The tattooed dude work as bike messenger to delivery packages especially the package for Verity’s weird boss. One meet lead to another.

Verity Michaels (unusual name, huh?) is an easily likable character. Smart, fun and independent. I enjoyed her sarcasms very much. She also liked tweeting with hilarious post. She’s hard working person even she didn’t like her job. Her interest in photography couldn’t make living so she accepted the job from her father and ended up with her perv boss.

Hudson Fenn is really a mysterious dude. Yeah, Verity pointed out he’s like a stalker. Hudson always showed up in certain places same as Verity, huh. BUT there is something with Hudson made me like him. He’s polite like a gentleman and sweet. He didn’t bullshit around or sugarcoated words. He is who he is. Never judge a person by the appearance.

“You’re a total criminal, aren’t you?” she asked, but to her surprise, she was grinning ear to ear.
He shook his head. “Have I stolen your heart yet?”
That stopped her cold. She blinked several times. “What?”
“Don’t answer,” he whispered. “I won’t take it until you give it freely.”

I loved their interaction. Hudson really made me swoon. He’s like an ideal perfect boyfriend. A wildest dream. He always did what he wants and he like Verity. Hudson pursued her in a very smooth way. There is no insta-lust. I really appreciate all his hard work to make Verity fall for him. They’re enjoying each other with flirt and tweeting. Beside tattoos, Hudson has some piercing especially in his *cough* penis. GAHHHH!!!

I couldn’t believe that 13 authors made this one hell of a story. Well-written with smooth plot. Of course the story isn’t only about Verity-Hudson’s romantic journey also there are some ‘events’ that I never guess, including her perv boss episode. UGH SHUDDERS! Overall, I really enjoyed FELONY EVER AFTER. Entertaining with laugh and tease. The story fits the name very well. I always have my suspicious about Hudson and I was right. Even he’s not my typical alpha male but I liked the positive vibe about him. We all always adored boys with tattoos and piercing, right? 😉

Hudson Fenn @tatwhiteknight
Just so you know, 140 characters isn’t nearly enough space to tell you how amazing I think you are.

Hudson Fenn @tatwhiteknight
So later, I’ll write an essay. On your body. With my tongue.

It finally happened, I lost my virginity. Cue applause and cheers.

For a while life was all rainbows and kittens prancing in a sky full of cotton candy clouds…that was until the demands of the real world set in.

My best friend is getting married and she asked me to be her maid of honor. She’s not worried about flowers, or the dress, or the food at the venue. No, she’s worried about the bachelorette party, what kind of penis crown she will wear, and the nipple size of the stripper who will be attending.

I’m in way over my head trying to balance life with a boyfriend, planning a penis party, and writing my romance novel. Something is bound to give.

This is my life after my happily ever after…

*** Warning: The Randy Romance Novelist is over the top, ridiculous, and is meant to make you burst out in laughter. Question the sanity of this author, and welcome over-dramatized comedy into your life. Please proceed if you would like to read about absurd tomfoolery type events, be exposed to the book world and other authors, as well as see that even in the midst of a comical combustion of nonsensical craziness (and naïve characters) love will always prevail. ***

** Minor Opinion Alert **

In the previous book, Rosie was a virgin who is living with her two best friends. Henry is one of them and he hide his feeling from Rosie. And Rose is just too superficial that didn’t pick up the signal. Lack of experience and seeing how man-whore Henry is the reason she didn’t take Henry for serious. In the end, they managed to talk their feelings out and pronounce in love with each other.

Ugh sorry for the stars. This is really hard for me but I can’t lie about it, eh. I was really looking forward for the continuation but sadly it didn’t work for me. Too many complication that didn’t match my expectation. So here’s my rants:

Told from dual POV from Rosie and Henry, this should be interesting. Now, Rosie and Henry are living together and they have a lot of sex. From virgin to randy <- based on the title. I didn’t protest about how much they’re having sex experiment. It was still entertaining. What is lacked from them is chemistry. Sex is fun, but without connection it feels so blahhh.

but I wasn’t lying when I said Henry had a fantastic appendage.
Girth. Check!
Length. Check!
Hair. None!
Balls. Wrinkly and weird, but let’s be honest, they’re coin purses full of milky babies. Can’t really go right with those things.
Everything about Henry’s “junk” appealed to me.
“Are you reading or staring at my penis?”

They didn’t have enough bonding time. They’re so busy with their jobs and in the night, there is the sex. Henry was too ecstatic with his upcoming promotion and Rosie, oh well she’s busy with the cat she didn’t want. I though this story would be more focus on Rosie’s work as a novelist, instead I follow Henry’s work. I only get the vision of Rosie when she fight the cat or want to have sex. That’s all.

As a person, Rosie was too ‘nice’ and couldn’t say no. I know she’s having reluctance about the cat and Delaney’s (Her BFF) bachelor party but she’s just accept it all. Rosie didn’t have enough her own time and space. She’s so busy with useless stuff and forget herself. Rosie becomes unattractive for me. She’s become another person and I was missing her old-self. The quirky and fun. Not this miss-i-can-do-it-all. The worst is her words isn’t funny; more crude. She’s having bad temperament and keep ranting about sex and her vagina. Woman, go to doctor! I’m so done with her.

Another problem is Henry. He supposed to be honest with her. This is the first time they’re together as a lovers but they really have BAD COMMUNICATION. Henry becomes too soft around Rosie. He wish to be the best first boyfriend for her will backfire anytime. This woman needs firm control and she’s about to lose it. She needs attention because she’s not a pet when you could feed and leave. Why you have to stress yourself and didn’t share with your partner? Well, in this case his partner is kinda a wrecking ball. Not reliable at all.

I’m not bitter but this is a honesty from my view. I didn’t like the jokes or maybe I couldn’t understand. But she’s impolite and rude, sometimes. Again I didn’t really know much about pregnant woman and their hormones but in Rosie’s case it was really scary. Their jokes are really out of control or my comfort zone. Also the incident in the office part, that was really embarrassing in many levels. In the end, I didn’t enjoy this as much as the previous. So frustrating to deal with this immature couple.

Her bosom heaved at an alarming rate as his rough hand found its way down to her soft, yet wiry briar patch…

Can you say briar patch in a romance novel? What about meat sword? That’s what it is…a meat sword, right, all meaty and sword like, slaying through the inner dungeons of a woman’s dark desires. What about breasts? Do bosoms really heave?

God, I have no idea what happens when private parts touch.

I’m a virgin trying to write a romance novel and can’t seem to write past a sex scene thanks to my lack of experience.

My two best friends encourage me to drop the pen for a while and gain some real life practice through multiple dating facets such as blind dates, online profiles, and random hookups.

But losing my virginity is proving to be tougher than expected…

Love isn’t easy and love isn’t kind; love is something you sacrifice everything for in the hopes that maybe, just maybe, there is a person in this world who will accept you for who you are.

After some depressing book, I need a happy read! My first read from Meghan Quinn and I was hooked. The Virgin Romance Novelist has really great and sarcastic humor that right up in my alley. The first page really made me LOL in the middle of the night. Like… R u kidding me? :))

Writing a romance novel shouldn’t be that hard, right? But for Rosie, it is. The thing is Rosie still a virgin and inexperienced with love. Her best friends, Delaney and Henry really support her. Not only in writing romance also lose her virginity. It’s not an easy road for Rosie who came from sheltered family and has insecurity with herself. With her friend’s help, everything seems possible.

Rosie oh Rosie… how innocent are u? OMG this girl is so hilarious, kinda awkward and ancient. Wait.. ancient? Yeah, just look at her writing! I would never ever do that even I’m a virgin. But that’s what makes Rosie is different. She could be slow-witted. And her curses… Oh lawd! Gurlll, you have lousy mouth. Rosie definitely a very rare woman.

Her road to lose virginity isn’t easy. But surprising for me with how many men came into her very quickly. I mean, she could have a date or two in a week. It was really weird to see her life before. Maybe Rosie has some hidden pheromone? But lesson learned in here. Ms. Quinn show us that men comes with all type and weirdness. In this case, Rosie has very unlucky encounter with this men. Of course, Rosie’s doesn’t search for the ONE but she could be really blind. And me either.

I found the most hilarious man she ever met! Laugh so hard :))) Also the perfect gif. Bwahaha… #SorryNotSorry

Holy crap! I wanted to say Yes, Sir, Mr. Grey, Sir and then bat my lashes like Anastasia, but decided to not role play, since I was pretty sure he wouldn’t like it.

Even there are so much date in Rosie’s new life, Henry is the only one she couldn’t see straight. Yeah, she liked him. A lot since college but she keep him in friend-zone. I admit I didn’t catch the signal from Henry either. He’s such a man-whore, no wonder Rosie never realize he attracted to her. Well, both of them are kinda silly. They’re supposed to be mature enough for this shit. But, no. Henry was kinda an asshole with his jealousy; spatting bitter words towards Rosie. What a friend you are!! Man up dude!! Anyway, Rosie is Rosie. The dull and virgin woman who never experienced love has to faced Henry’s mixed signals.

Ugh, I was that girl. That girl who couldn’t make up her damn mind. That girl in a novel that I wanted to shake uncontrollably, slap some sense into her.

Overall, The Virgin Romance Novelist definitely an entertaining read. I enjoyed Rosie’s road to lose her virginity. She’s amused me with her notes. She write almost everything in her sex diary. Friends-to-lovers isn’t really my fave but Rosie’s journey is hard to be missed.

“Welcome to the world of love, Rosie. It sucks, it’s nauseating at times, and nerve racking, but the reward is so worth it when you have someone by your side supporting you, loving you, and being your life support. There’s nothing like it.”
